The Ingoldby name has been associated with McLaren Vale for more than 100 years, however it was not until the late 1960’s that Jim Ingoldby put the family name on a wine label. Since that time, Ingoldby has handcrafted a succession of award winning wines that always remain true to their McLaren Vale heritage. The 2004 Ingoldby Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is vivid in colour. The wine exhibits wonderful citrus aromas with fresh spring greenery present on the nose. The fresh, lively palate demonstrates lime and fresh herbal flavours with lemon acidity and a long, lingering finish.

The name Cricket Pitch is derived from the early Parish map, which shows the original 10 acres, purchased in 1970, to be the local playing fields.

Bright pale yellow with green tints. Aromas of citrus with a herbaceous green pea edge. Sauvignon Blanc from the cooler areas provides the powerful fruit backbone with Semillon giving structure of richness to the palate. Some barrel ferment character adding subtle complexity and further dimension to the palate. A fine natural acid structure provides length and liveliness to the finish.

This serendipitous blend has become a Margaret River benchmark. Selection of our best parcels of fruit from predominantly estate vineyards, combined with meticulous vinification and a portion of barrel fermentations are the hallmarks of this complex style. The wine displays aromatic fresh fruit characters with some palate weight derived from the oak. It is best enjoyed within two years of release.

Pale straw with tinges of green & gold.

Lifted aromas of grapefruit, lemon citrus, passionfruit and spice. Underlying nuances of fresh cut hay.

The flavours follow onto the palate with excellent crisp fruit definition. Soft fine acid providing length and freshness.

This wine was made from premium Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. It is a classic Western Australian dry white blend. The wine exhibits a mouthful of fresh gooseberry and honeydew melon flavours with a touch of tropical fruit filling out the palate. A wine best served chilled. Great on its own or with the freshest of seafood.
